Only one of them wears.
Every other mattress is one sealed unit, so when the surface goes soft the springs go to landfill with it. A Perennial bed is built in two, and the part that wears lifts out.

Why not one at a fifth of the price?
Because you will buy it again. A cheap mattress is an annual: one life, then the whole thing goes, springs included. This is built so the part that wears comes off and the part that lasts stays. Over 25 years you buy one bed and two comfort layers.
I cannot try it first.
Neither can anyone, really. Four minutes lying down in a shop tells you nothing about the eighth week. That is why the feel is not fixed when you order: you sleep on it, and for a year we remake the comfort layer until it is right.
I have never heard of you.
Fair. So we made the things that usually stay hidden checkable: every one of the 13 layers, the wire gauges, the densities, the zone map. And 100 nights to send it back, collected from your home, refunded in full.
What if the firmness is wrong?
Turn the layer over. One face is medium, the other medium firm, and they are equal halves rather than a token flip. If neither is yours, tell us how it should feel and we build one to that description.
Will it sag like the last one?
Sagging is the comfort layer, not the springs. On a sealed mattress that means the whole thing is finished. Here the comfort layer is a part, and the 8cm encased perimeter and 25-year Sevencore underneath are not going anywhere.
What happens to my old mattress?
It leaves on the same visit and goes for recycling. Complimentary, and it is why nothing of ours has to end in landfill either.
Is it actually better, or just more expensive?
Ask a simpler question: what happens in year eight? On a sealed mattress, you buy another one. Here you buy a £299 layer. That is the difference, and it is structural rather than a matter of taste.
