The size
Why it is 200 wide
Emperor gives each sleeper a full metre. A Super King gives ninety centimetres, which is the width of a single bed. For two adults, one of whom moves, the difference is a night uninterrupted.
It is also the largest size that still takes bedding you can buy anywhere, and the largest most rooms will hold without the room becoming a bed with walls around it.
We make to order, so the size exists because someone wants it, not because a machine was already set up for it.
Built in two parts
The part that softens comes out.
A mattress does not wear out. The top five centimetres wear out, and the rest goes to landfill with it.
Ours separates. A twenty centimetre seven-zone pocket sprung core built to last twenty five years, and a comfort layer above it that unzips and lifts off.
